Miscellaneous Information
- Johnstown Cafe -- This site's goals are "to teach Johnstowners more about their town, to allow those who moved away to reminisce, to help those who plan to visit the area and to possibly convince non- and ex- Johnstowners to consider moving (back) to the area." An enormous amount of information is included.
- Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources -- The DCNR's Web site includes information on state parks, forests, greenways and more. Includes an interactive feature that allows you to find parks by region (Johnstown and Cambria County are included in the The Alleghenies and Her Valleys region).
- State of Pennsylvania's Tourism Web Site, VisitPA.com -- This comprehensive site includes such features as a fall foliage report, online reservation tools, and much more. Johnstown is a part of the The Alleghenies and Her Valleys region.
- The Alleghenies -- The official Web site for The Alleghenies region of Pennsylvania, created by the Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission. Includes a great deal of information about motorcycle/driving tour routes (for more information about the routes that include JAHA museums, see the Touring Routes page on this site) as well as land- and water-based outdoor activities in the region.

Performing & Visual Arts
- The Roxbury Bandshell -- A group of dedicated citizens is preserving and programming this Depression-era bandshell located in Johnstown's Roxbury Park. Visit the bandshell's website for information on the preservation effort and the cultural programs now being presented there, including a free summer concert series.
- The Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center -- Located on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, PPAC hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, dance, theatre and more. PPAC also includes the Johnstown branch of the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art.
- The Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center -- Located close to the Heritage Discovery Center in the historic neighborhood of Cambria City, the Bottle Works preserves and celebrates the area's cultural diversity through the arts, including music, dance, costuming, food and literary traditions.
- Art Works in Johnstown -- The vision of Art Works in Johnstown is to revitalize the cultural and economic life of the Greater Johnstown Region through the development of a nationally prominent cultural center which attracts visual, craft, industrial, performance, heritage, and technology artists to work and live in our community along with local, regional, national and international visitors who share an interest in their work. Located in Cambria City.
- Arcadia Theatre -- This historic Windber theatre offers a full season of touring entertainment.
- Johnstown Symphony Orchestra -- The JSO provides live performances of high-quality classical orchestral music, featuring local, regional and internationally known artists.
- The Mountain Playhouse -- Located in nearby Jennerstown, the Mountain Playhouse is a professional summer stock theatre presenting a season of musicals, dramas and comedy.
- Community Arts Center of Cambria County -- The CACCC presents a variety of arts classes, exhibits and cultural programming throughout the year, including the Log House Arts Festival.
- Venue of Merging Arts (VOMA) -- VOMA's mission is to rescue a historically significant former church building, St. George's Serbian Orthodox Church, by transforming it into a unique venue in which various forms of artistic expression can merge together to promote, educate, entertain, and involve the community in the arts. It is located at 307 Chestnut Ave. in historic Cambria City.
- Allied Artists of Johnstown, Pennsylvania -- For more than 70 years the Allied Artists of Johnstown (AAJ) has been showcasing the area's painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, and craftspersons. Their website includes a calendar of events, including juried and non-juried exhibitions; information on becoming a member; and more.
- Johnstown Artist Relocation Program -- A City-sponsored program that provides incentives to encourage artists to move to Johnstown's Kernville neighborhood.
- Laurel Arts -- Laurel Arts is a non-profit arts center located in Somerset. Incorporated in 1975 with a commitment to promote and preserve the arts in the Southern Alleghenies region, the organization hosts a number of year-round activities such as gallery exhibits, classes, First Night of Christmas, Soundstage Summer Concert Series, and Somerfest, Laurel Arts' annual performing arts festival. The Philip Dressler Center is home to the Guild of American Papercutters National Museum, the first and only national museum dedicated to this art form. Dance programs, wellness classes, Studio Kids Preschool, art classes for all ages, and summer art camps for school-aged children are held in the Laurel Arts Education and Dance Center. Genealogy
- The Johnstown Area Genealogical & Historical Society -- The society focuses on Johnstown and Cambria County, and its print and computer records are located at the Pennsylvania Highlands Community College in Johnstown. The society's Web page includes a surname list, links to research databases and additional resources.
- Cambria County Library Reference & Genealogy Services
-- Information about the contents of the library's Pennsylvania Room and other collections of interest to those doing family research. Copies of marriage notices and obituaries from some area newspapers are also available for a small fee.
- Grandview Cemetery -- Grandview was founded just a few years before the 1889 flood. It is the final resting place for many flood victims, and is still an active cemetery with more than 12 miles of roads winding through its grounds. Recently its interment list has become searchable by last name - click on the link to find out more.

Local Economic Development Organizations
- Johnstown Redevelopment Authority -- The JRA works to maintain a vital downtown business center and to attract new businesses into blighted and abandoned industrial properties; this Web site includes municipality maps and other resources.
- The Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Chamber of Commerce -- This non-profit organization represents over 700 businesses in Cambria County and surrounding areas; its Web site includes a community profile, maps of the area and demographic information.
- Lift Johnstown -- Lift Johnstown is a collaborative effort to implement three plans that have received input and support from our community's civic and elected leaders and a broad range of organizations, including JAHA. "The primary goal of Lift Johnstown is simple but ambitious: we want to unite the community in an effort to choose our community's future, as opposed to simply waiting around to see what might happen," reads the organization's website.
- The Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission -- The SAP&DC works to develop and implement programs that help businesses expand markets, generate employment opportunities and foster quality of life improvements. The organization covers Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset Counties.
- Johnstown Area Regional Industries -- JARI is a not-for-profit economic development organization active in Cambria and Somerset Counties. Services include business planning, development and financing, site location and development, and governmental relations.
